The FedRAMP Project Manager works cross-functionally to drive the execution of Syncplicity's FedRAMP deployment and audit process to achieve the objective of FedRAMP Authorized Cloud Service Provider. 


In this role you will be instrumental in the deployment of a new cloud infrastructure for a complex SaaS software product that brings together cutting-edge user interface, database technologies, DevOps, TechOps, training, and sustainment. This will comprise of the entire lifecycle of the product to be deployed, secured, managed, and sustained. 

The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with the development of user stories and the grooming and prioritization of a backlog constrained by finances, schedule dependencies, team dynamics, and customer constraints. 

You must have extensive experience in taking goals, objectives, and outcomes and creating an executable plan. You should have a career where you have been responsible for determining design choices for infrastructure architecture, including but not limited to: platforms, automation standards, security architecture decisions, access controls, continuous deployment, patching, bug fix, and ongoing multi-version concurrent development. 

You should have experience establishing and enforcing standards and practices, while having a pragmatic approach to meeting deadlines and ensuring success. You will oversee the data center build and deployment teams and manage the full life cycle of the automation deployment process. 

The right person for this job does not mind “doing whatever it takes” and will be willing to support documentation, run test scripts if needed, talk to other development teams and understand their issues, provide team mentoring, coach junior systems engineers, and more. 

This role will never be boring but will always be challenging and rewarding. 


  • Manage multiple work streams, milestones, and project meetings for a cross-functional team consisting of TechOps, DevOps, Product Management, Customer Success, Sales, Compliance, and InfoSec. 
  • Collaborating with our production technical operations center, our wealth of Subject Matter Experts, management, and our entire existing engineering teams
  • Serving as an integral member of the solution delivery team, managing a cloud team, multiple scrum deployment teams, DevOps, TechOps, sustainment, security certification, and all other technology facets of a large-scale, enterprise, Federally certified solution
  • Support the Director of TechOps and other Project Managers as a technical subject matter expert to ensure successful solution implementation in compliance with the scope of work, all requirements, all user stories, federal security requirements, etc.
  • Provide full DevOps and TechOps oversight to a team of professional technologists including system engineers, network engineers, DBAs, testers, and release engineers as well as interface with key stakeholders to ensure transparent delivery
  • Ensure system documentation is created, available, and maintained in accordance with FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 standards
  • Ensure costs and schedule information are input into reports in a timely manner
  • Coordinates inter-company deliverables with Auditors, Customers, and US FedRAMP Program Office (JAB)
  • Coordinates monthly security audits and reporting to FedRAMP JAB
  • Provide input to the PMO in support of financial and progress reporting
  • Safeguarding Axway and Axway customer data through compliance with Axway policies and the appropriate use of Axway equipment and facilities


  • Experience deploying complex, enterprise software solutions
  • Experience managing a team of technologists through the full lifecycle of technical solution definition, design, development, deployment, and sustainment
  • Experience with full stack development and/or management to include user interface, middle tier orchestration, integrations, and database solutions
  • Must be well-versed in effective management, operations, and maintenance of systems.
  • Strong network knowledge, experience with AWS
  • Degree may be replaced with 10 years of practical experience
  • 15 years of relevant technology and technology management experience
  • Experience with audit frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, HIPAA/HITECH, etc.

  • DIRECT Experience with federal agencies and guidelines
  • Experience managing federated, non-collocated teams
  • Experience with MemCache, Redis, Powershell, MSSQL, IIS, CentOS, AWS, Datacenter buildouts, HAproxy, High available systems, CHEF, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Federal Enterprise Architecture experience
  • FedRAMP Security Assessment Framework
  • FISMA High System development and requirements
  • CMMI-DEV ML 3 practices
  • Zabbix, New Relic, Grafana
  • SaaS, IaaS, PaaS


  • Master’s Degree – Business, Engineering, IT or related scientific/technical discipline
