The Senior Accountant will report to the Americas Controller and be responsible for working directly with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate monthly close and reporting. This position will contribute to continuous process improvement and maintain data integrity in the financial systems and adherence to accounting standards.  


The Senior Accountant is the primary process owner for significant areas such as general ledger and account reconciliation and works closely with consolidations and reporting teams in France as well as with outsourced accounting firms for South American operations. 


This position addresses tight deadlines and is responsible for financial statement accuracy and facilitating external audit support. Additionally, this position will partner with and provide support for internal customers for business decision making through financial reporting and analysis. The Senior Accountant will utilize broad accounting and business knowledge to identify and present issues and opportunities and make recommendations to improve processes and systems.


  • Provide day-to-day accounting operations support
  • Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures, processes and records in an organized fashion
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year end close and financial reporting information
  • Work closely with international teams for monthly financial reporting and consolidations
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional managers to support overall company goals and objectives
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity through account reconciliation and review, variance analysis, transactional review of accruals, cash management, prepaids, fixed assets and other general ledger activities
  • Liaise with external audit for mid-year and year-end audit support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and workflow quality
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Support the Controller with special projects as needed including workflow process improvements
  • Document and interpret financial information to drive organizational business decisions


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license highly desired
  • Public accounting experience is preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a corporate accounting environment or combination with public accounting
  • Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Collaborative work style that can lead and inspire teammates
  • Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrate leadership and composure while meeting commitments and effectively prioritizing multiple obligations
  • Excellent general ledger system, computer and business solutions software skills, implementation experience a plus
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
