    We are looking for a VP, Information Systems to join our growing team.  This position will be located in Axway’s US corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona.  The VP, Information Systems role is to provide leadership for developing the IT vision with the overall business strategy. This individual is responsible and the leader for for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems. The VP, Information Systems ensures all our information systems are functioning smoothly for the employees and extended workforce of the organization. This individual will report to the CEO to ensure continuity between Business strategy/operations and Technology Services efforts.

    Responsibilities

    Strategy & Planning

    • Provides vision, leadership, and management for the Information Services being delivered to Axway, including but not limited to our core operational systems such as Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot and our Business Applications development and Cybersecurity
    • Work as a key partner in our business transformation to help continue in bringing Axway as a leader internally in the digital ecosystem
    • Represent IS strategic and operational planning to achieve Business goals by fostering collaboration, prioritizing IS initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IS systems across the regions
    • Develop and maintain an appropriate organizational structure that supports the needs of the business in the ever-changing business environment, which includes both SaaS and on-premises models
    • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IS systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and development
    • Manage, assess and communicate risks and opportunities associated with Business and IS change activities
    • Develop, track, and manage the IS annual operating and capital budgets
    • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for Business IS spending and initiatives

    Development, Acquisition & Deployment

    • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with organization and stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations
    • Approve, prioritize, and manage projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the, development, and implementation of major business or information systems initiatives
    • Define and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the regions for acquiring, implementing, and operating IS systems

    Operational Management

    • Manage, monitor and ensure continuous delivery of quality IS services by overseeing third party service level agreements with the Business
    • Ensure IS system operation and data management practices adhere to applicable laws and regulations
    • Establish lines of control and reporting for current and proposed information systems and services
    • Keep current with trends and issues in the IS industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA in computer science and post graduate degree preferred
    • Demonstrated experience managing an information systems department in a medium or large size enterprise software organization 
    • Solid technical knowledge and experience in the use and application of the most current technologies and products used in the industry
    • Demonstrated experience with IS systems and IS management as a senior level with a sequence of increasing responsibilities, including managing development teams, in large and diverse business settings.
    • Experience with and understanding of strategic and business planning methods, tools, and processes
    • Must have solid experience in Salesforce.com and Marketo, being a leader in understanding how to drive and support our business to utilize these systems as our competitive advantage
    • Proven track record in leadership of system design and implementation, inclusive of all front and back office system
    • Proven experience in IS planning, organization, and development 
    • Experience managing technical staff in multiple locations, including International
    • This position requires up to 30% travel, including international travel
