    Axway is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our global Technical Success Team. The Technical Success Team collaborates with product, engineering and alliances teams and provides technical expertise during both pre-sales and post sales engagement.  The Architect will collaborate with these teams and be responsible for driving best practices, supporting technical pre-sales activities, post-sale architecture and design assistance along with offerings and accelerator creation that will drive fast time to value for customers and also take ownership of key technical activities within the team to ensure a high level of service to our internal partners.

     

    The role requires strong presentation, technical and solutioning skills that will drive innovation and thought leadership.  The architect will be specifically focusing on Axway’s solutions for Amplify Managed File Transfer.

     

    This position can be remote or based out of our corporate office in Phoenix, AZ.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares and delivers presentations of the company’s solutions internally and externally
    • Leads discovery workshop sessions to gather customer requirements and critical business challenges.
    • Creates solution vision and evangelizes how the solution addresses technical and business outcomes.
    • Develops customer facing assessment reports documenting current state and future state recommendations.
    • Support proof of concepts (POC’s). Contribute to POC plans with agreed use cases. Work with presales support teams to execute on the POC. 
    • Support post sales activities such as design assistance for complex use cases, architecture guidance, customer health assessments, and advisory services.
    • Trade shows and conferences subject matter expertise support.
    • Stays current on the latest technology and contributes to the technical direction of the company while keeping a customer-centric approach.
    • Ensures proactive communication with global team to ensure alignment.
    • Acts as a mentor and may lead a team of pre-sales, post sales and/or partner consultants on complex opportunities.
    • Communicates with sales, services, and product management teams regarding customer and partner initiatives.
    • Takes the lead in working with Solution Architects to define the complete customer solution.
    • Develops, manages, provides key assets and knowledge transfer to Axway strategic business partners such as:
      • Technical tracks and programs
      • Presales acumen 
      • Post-sale value accelerators
      • Service offerings
      • Enablement assets
      • CoEs
      • Solution best practices
      • Etc.

    Qualifications

    • Minimally 3-5 years of work experience in similar roles most likely with a software/solutions vendor.
    • Experience with solutions deployment and/or presales and/or product management in one or more of the following disciplines: 
    • (Must have) API Management/Full API Management Lifecycle using products like Axway/Vordel, Apigee, Oracle, IBM Datapower/API Connect/StrongLoop, WSO2, Akana, TIBCO/Mashery, and CA/Layer 7, etc.
    • (Must have) Managed File Transfer (MFT) using products like Axway Secure Transport, XFB Gateway, Interchange, TransferCFT, IBM Sterling File Gateway, Connect:Direct.
    • Familiarity Mobile and MBaaS – Kony, AppC, Kinvey, FeedHenry
    • Familiarity with message oriented service patterns including SOAP, REST, SOA, message bus such as MQ, Tibco, etc.
    • B2B Gateway implementations using products like Sterling File Gateway or Axway’s SecureTransport.
    • Managed File Transfer (MFT) using products like Connect:Direct or Axway’s TransferCFT.

    • Broad understanding of mobile, cloud, on premise, and hybrid solutions as well as containers and deployment platforms (Bluemix, Azure, AWS, etc).
    • Experience with EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).
    • Experience with networking protocols and technology: TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, DNS, WAN, LAN, VPN, LDAP, Internet, Intranet, Extranet 
    • Best practice and experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, Chef, Puppet, etc.
    • Vast knowledge around enterprise security, identity management, and best practices minimally including PKI, CA, SSL, S/MIME, AuthN, AuthZ, SSO, SAML, LDAP, OpenID, Multifactor, and OAuth.
    • Language experience: PHP, Python, Ruby, NET / C#, C, Java, Perl, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, SQL

    Desired Skills (Nice to have):

    • Experience in pre-sales or post-sale middleware implementation projects in financial services, healthcare, supply chain, or federal space. 
    • Cognizance and experience in supporting both large and small partner organizations and alliance teams.  
    • Familiar with Solution Selling methodologies.
