    Axway is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our global Technical Success Team. The Technical Success Team collaborates with product, engineering and alliances teams and provides technical expertise during both pre-sales and post sales engagement.  The Architect will work in concert with these teams and be responsible for driving best practices, supporting technical pre-sales activities, post-sale architecture and design assistance along with offerings and accelerator creation that will drive fast time to value for customers, and also take ownership of key technical activities within the team to ensure a high level of service to our internal partners.


    The role requires strong presentation, technical and solutioning skills that will drive innovation and thought leadership.  The architect will be specifically focusing on Axway’s solutions for Amplify API Management.


    This position is based in our corporate office in Paris La Défense.


    • Prepares and delivers presentations of the company’s solutions internally and externally
    • Leads discovery workshop sessions to gather customer requirements and critical business challenges.
    • Creates solution vision and evangelizes how the solution addresses technical and business outcomes.
    • Develops customer facing assessment reports documenting current state and future state recommendations.
    • Able plan and run solution enablement boot camps, workshop, and trainings for internal, and external parties
    • Support proof of concepts (POC’s).  Contribute to POC plans with agreed use cases.  Work with presales support teams to execute on the POC. 
    • Support post sales activities such as design assistance for complex use cases, architecture guidance, customer health assessments, and advisory services.
    • Trade shows and conferences subject matter expertise support.
    • Stays current on the latest technology and contributes to the technical direction of the company while keeping a customer-centric approach.
    • Ensures proactive communication with global team to ensure alignment.
    • Acts as a mentor and may lead a team of pre-sales, post sales and/or partner consultants on complex opportunities.
    • Communicates with sales, services, and product management teams regarding customer and partner initiatives.
    • Takes the lead in working with Solution Architects to define the complete customer solution.
    • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle, including testing the content and process with different stakeholders (external and internal) 
    • Develops, manages, provides key assets and knowledge transfer to Axway strategic business partners:
      • Technical tracks and programs
      • Presales acumen
      • Post-sale value accelerators
      • Service offerings
      • Enablement assets
      • CoEs
      • Solution best practices


    Required Experience:

    • Minimally 3-5 years of work experience in similar roles with an enterprise software/solutions vendor.
    • Experience with solutions deployment, consultant, and/or presales in one or more of the following disciplines:
      • Experience designing and implementing APIs using an API First approach in addition to expertise in API related technologies such as SOAP, JSON, XML, REST, Swagger, RAML, and WSDL.
      • Excellent comprehension of API Management concepts and experience using API Management solutions namely Axway/Vordell, Google Apigee, CA Layer 7, IBM API Connect, Akana, Tibco Mashery, or Mulesoft
      • Managed File Transfer (MFT) and/or B2B using products like Axway Secure Transport, XFB Gateway, Interchange, Transfer CFT, IBM Sterling File Gateway, Connect:Direct.
      • Deep background and experience with containerization, orchestration engines, and application definition tools – minimally Docker, Kubernetes, and HELM required

    • Broad understanding of mobile, cloud, on premise, and hybrid solutions as well as containers and deployment platforms (Bluemix, Azure, AWS, PCF, Openshift, etc).
    • Well versed in DevOps methodologies and culture in addition to experience with various toolchain applications (VSTS, Artifactory, Jenkins, Bamboo, GIT, Ant, Maven, Puppet, CHEF, Ansible, JIRA, etc)
    • Experience with networking protocols and technology: TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, DNS, WAN, LAN, VPN, LDAP, Internet, Intranet, Extranet
    • Vast knowledge around enterprise security, identity management, and best practices minimally including PKI, CA, SSL, S/MIME, AuthN, AuthZ, SSO, SAML, LDAP, OpenID, Multifactor, and OAuth.
    • Language experience: Go, NodeJS, PHP, Python, Ruby, NET / C#, C, Java, Perl, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, SQL


    Desired Skills (Nice to have):

    • Experience in pre-sales or post-sale middleware implementation projects in financial services, healthcare, supply chain, or federal space.
    • Cognizance and experience in supporting both large and small partner organizations and alliance teams.  
    • Familiar with Solution Selling methodologies.
