    We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer

    Responsibilities

    What will I be doing?

    • Plan, estimate, design, and execute API performance tests
    • Create and execute automated tests using Jmeter in a distributed environment
    • Automate deployment and real-time monitoring of Docker/Kubernetes environments
    • Execute automated baseline, load, stress, endurance and any other non-functional tests as required against SaaS applications within the Amazon AWS cloud environment
    • Perform analysis on resource utilization, garbage collection, reports, logging, and any other available resources to verify performance
    • Work with stakeholders to provide automated graphs, reports, and other required documentation required for analysis
    • Create and monitor defects in the formal defect database to resolution
    • Collaborate with business and application owners to improve overall performance as needed

    Qualifications

    What skills will I need?

    Minimum qualifications:

     

    • Strong problem solving and debugging skills
    • 5 years of experience as Software Performance Testing
    • Proven experience automating and executing tests frameworks
    • Strong understanding of REST concepts and have solid experience in automating against REST APIs
    • Experience with 3rd party API tools for debugging (i.e. Postman, SoapUI)
    • Good understanding and troubleshooting of Linux Operating Systems
    • Knowledge of networking, especially cloud-based networking within the AWS environment
    • Independent worker, but also works well within a team and is willing to assist and mentor other team member with less experience
    • Strong written and communication skills is a must

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • BS/MS in Computer Science, IT or Engineering required
    • Bonus points if you have the following:
      • Knowledge of other languages such as Golang or Python
      • Experience of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
      • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure
      • Exposure to non-functional testing of microservices architecture
