Responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of an IS Financial Operations team that will be fully implementing Workday Financials in a global environment.
  • Act as Workday product owner: Assist in determining organizational needs for system upgrades, work closely with end users and leadership to prioritize and manage the completion of support tickets and enhancement requests, and leverage business knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Work closely with business team members in supporting all Workday technical functions to facilitate effective business solutions and provide knowledge transfer of system functionality to support personnel, power users, SMEs, and end users.
  • Responsible for deploying, migrating, maintaining, monitoring, and administrating the Workday Platform including HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Learning, Recruiting, Compensation Management, Time Tracking, Financials, Revenue, Projects, and Project Billing.
  • Responsible for configuration and customization of the Workday platform, including implementing integrations into existing and future systems. Work with business stakeholders to understand and refine business processes to provide necessary functionality with minimal customization.
  • Identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that decrease execution times, garner adoption, improve end-user experience, and sustain organizational growth.
  • Prioritize, plan, test, and deliver new features, upgrades, and updates to the platform–including upstream and downstream connected applications and services.
  • Perform audits on system roles and access logs on a periodic basis and document proper internal security controls.
  • Coordinate all release management activities. Create and establish release management processes including risk mitigation, communication, and rollout strategies.
  • Create cross-functional, process-driven training materials, and conduct training sessions for key stakeholders and end users.
  • Serve as a SME, product advocate, and technical expert on cross-functional project teams to ensure the effective integration the platform with other business applications.
  • Provide organizational insights by participating in setting data and reporting strategy, creating reports and dashboards, and providing self-service opportunities for end users.
  • Act as a champion and advocate for technology solutions and automation. Drive adoption by presenting and evangelizing solutions and by educating and influencing the organization on tools, policies, and best practices. Assist the enterprise in taking advantage of the Workday platform and all it has to offer.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with Accounting principles and concepts from a user perspective.
  • Undergraduate degree with preferred concentration in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or relative equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of ERP experience, preferably in Workday.
  • 3 years of practical Workday administration experience across both the HR and Finance function.
  • Advanced mastery of custom reports and calculated fields. Experience building advanced Workday reports (e.g., Simple, Advanced, Matrix, Composite, n-box, Search, Trending and Transposed).
  • Experience with complex data cleansing, validation, migration, and preparation. Demonstrated ability to recognize and resolve data anomalies or errors in datasets.
  • Experience articulating design trade-offs, system dependencies, and data flows to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing and managing key process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, user-guides, and training material.
  • Experience working within a software development life cycle model, preferably in an agile environment.
  • Experience migrating legacy systems to Workday, implementing Workday, or supporting Workday as a new organizational ERP is preferred.
  • Experience leading or participating in organizational change management is preferred.
