We are seeking a Principal System Program Developer to join our team!

As a Principal System Program Developer I (P6), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of 74Software’s global integration and data ecosystem. Operating as a senior technical leader within the Information Systems organization, you will drive the architecture and execution of large-scale, enterprise-critical systems that power analytics, AI, operational processes, and cross-platform connectivity.

In this role, you will lead complex integration initiatives, define long-term data and integration strategies, and ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our hybrid data landscape. You will partner closely with engineering leaders, product teams, enterprise architects, and stakeholders across the organization to deliver robust, future-ready platforms and solutions.

This is a highly strategic, hands-on position for a principal-level engineer who thrives in modern cloud-native environments, brings deep expertise in integration and data engineering, and can influence technical direction at a global scale.

1. Data Engineering, Architecture & Strategy

• Architect end-to-end data platforms and integration ecosystems that support advanced analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise operational needs.

• Lead the design and governance of ELT/ETL frameworks, ensuring scalability, observability, and high performance.

• Oversee the implementation and optimization of complex data pipelines using SQL, Python, Airflow, and dbt.

• Define standards for data quality, lineage, and metadata management across global systems.

• Drive innovation in real-time data processing, event-driven architectures, and streaming pipelines.

2. Enterprise Data Modeling & Governance

• Develop and enforce enterprise-wide data modeling standards (dimensional, Data Vault, operational models).

• Provide architectural leadership for the evolution of the Snowflake data warehouse, data lake, and surrounding ecosystem.

• Create technical guidelines, documentation, and governance models to support global adoption and operational excellence.

• Mentor engineering teams on best practices in data modeling, performance tuning, and scalable architecture.

3. System Integration Leadership

• Lead the design and delivery of high-complexity integrations across core platforms (Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, proprietary systems).

• Define integration architecture patterns, API standards, and reusable frameworks.

• Oversee implementation efforts using tools such as Axway API Management, Amplify Fusion, Talend, Workday Studio, Python, and JavaScript.

• Translate business requirements into enterprise-grade technical designs and integration blueprints.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for cross-system data synchronization, interoperability, and automation.

4. Technical Excellence, Reliability & Operations

• Provide senior technical leadership during major incidents, complex troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across data performance, integration reliability, observability, and platform resilience.

• Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation for data and integration deployments.

• Ensure compliance with global security, privacy, and governance standards.

5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders on a global scale.

• Lead technical design reviews, provide architectural approvals, and influence long-term strategic planning.

• Mentor and upskill engineers across multiple teams, fostering engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and multi-year platform modernization initiatives.

• Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 8+ years in Integration Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Proven experience operating at a principal, lead, or senior architect level in large or complex environments.

  • Professional English proficiency; ability to operate in a global, multicultural environment.

  Technical Expertise (Must-Have)

  Integration & APIs

  • Expert-level experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations, API ecosystems, and ETL/ELT workflows.

  • Deep knowledge of integration tools such as Talend, Axway API Management, Amplify Fusion, or similar platforms.

  Data Engineering

  • Strong architectural expertise in building complex data pipelines using SQL, Python, Airflow, and dbt.

  • Hands-on experience with modern data warehousing platforms (preferably Snowflake).

  Data Modeling

  • Mastery of data architecture and modeling techniques (dimensional, Data Vault, operational modeling).

  • Experience establishing modeling standards and reviewing designs at scale.

  Programming

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; solid knowledge of JavaScript/Java for integration scenarios.

  Technical Skills (Preferred / Plus)

  • Experience with Salesforce, Workday (including Workday Studio), ServiceNow integrations.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Apache Spark, and event-driven platforms.

  • Expertise in designing governance frameworks, data catalogs, and metadata management solutions.

  • Prior experience in leading platform modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
