Axway, Inc. seeks Systems Engineer III in Scottsdale, AZ 

Job Description: Responsible with the IT Virtualization team for activities related to evolution, maintenance and operations of VMWare Private Cloud and Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) infrastructure. Responsible for technical incidents that arise in administration of company's global Infrastructure processes and IT systems; correct and timely record, in writing, at the time of their occurrence of the incidents and how they were resolved, according to company's internal procedures; monitor operation of the IT processes and systems; if necessary, install and configure patches, new releases of integrated software applications; test efficiency and reliability, before validating solutions for technical incidents; perform specific duties regarding the quality standards agreed within the group; organization of the on-demand back-up process and data storage according to needs expressed by any of the companies' departments; participate in training courses held within company; available to respond on urgent matters that require attention of local IT personnel.   

Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Scottsdale, AZ. 

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of related experience which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Management and maintenance of VMWare (VMWare Cloud Foundation and Aria Suite) and Dell VxRail technologies in a context of a software development company (CI/CD); Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) in a hybrid context with all security aspects and implications it brings; Operating Systems: Linux (Redhat or Suse), Docker/containers (Kubernetes or Tanzu), and Windows Servers running on virtualization infrastructure; Databases (Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres); Backup technologies (Commvault and Veeam); Programming languages (Shell, Javascript, and PowerShell) and automatization tools (Ansible and Jenkins); and Performance monitoring and Level 3 troubleshooting/administration in a multisite configuration (datacenters in different locations).
