We are seeking our new Business Development Manager to join the Axway team!

To support this ambition, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager Digital Banking for the Benelux market. In this role, you will engage with decision-makers across financial institutions—both business and IT stakeholders. You will identify key DMUs, build new relationships, promote our SBS Digital Banking Solutions, and maintain strong client connections by providing strategic guidance, support, and insights

Responsibilities

  • Defining and executing a strategic sales approach for SBS Digital Banking solutions in the Benelux market, in collaboration with the Sales Director. This includes both existing clients and new prospects.
  • Building and nurturing a high-level network within the financial industry, enabling engagement at C-level.
  • Identifying opportunities and key decision-making units (DMUs) within banks and financial institutions.
  • Expanding your network through active participation in industry events, thought leadership initiatives, and proactive outreach.
  • Initiating and developing sales cycles through a targeted and personalized approach.
  • Leading the sales process internally and externally to ensure alignment between client needs and our solutions.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external partners within the broader ecosystem.
  • Contributing to team success by achieving your individual sales targets.
  • Supporting marketing efforts by providing content for acquisition campaigns.

Qualifications

  • You are passionate about sales, digital banking, and technology.
  • You have a solid understanding of the financial industry, with 5–10 years of sales experience in this sector.
  • You bring a proven track record in C-level sales engagements.
  • Ideally, you have 3–5 years of experience selling core banking, payments, or digital solutions. Experience with SaaS sales is a strong plus.
  • An established network within the Benelux banking and Fintech market is considered a valuable asset.
  • You are experienced in negotiating complex software contracts, including SaaS deploymentsimplementation projectsmaintenance & support, and training packages.
  • You combine a strong drive for sales with the patience and persistence required for long sales cycles.
  • You have a natural affinity for digital innovation and emerging trends shaping the future of banking.
  • You are open to attending trade shows and industry conferences to expand your network and market insights.
  • You possess strong reporting and presentation skills.
  • You are a team player who takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • You are client-focusedadaptable, and open to change.
  • You are results-driven, a quick learner, and highly motivated to open new business opportunities.
  • Your high energy level and proactive mindset make you a key contributor to business growth
  • Must be able to speak fluent Dutch & English. French is a plus.
