The Digital Engagement Global Business Unit at SBS is in charge of developing, commercializing, and operating the Digital Banking Suite (DBS), a comprehensive digital banking platform that empowers financial institutions with a next-gen platform to enhance customer engagement via modern mobile-native and web experiences. Other offerings within the Business Unit include Open Banking, AI & CRM, and Digital Lending. We are looking for a Chief of Staff to act as a strategic partner to the General Manager and his deputy, supporting the effective running, alignment, and performance of the Business Unit.

 

The Chief of Staff will drive cross-functional alignment, oversee business performance, and enable disciplined execution across the portfolio, ensuring that strategy, execution, financial performance, and operational processes are tightly connected and running efficiently.

 

This is a high-impact role designed for a recent MBA graduate with strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and the ability to influence without authority.

 

Location: London, Paris, Dubai

Hybrid: 2-3 Days per Week Onsite 

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Support the development and refinement of the BU strategy across all products
    streams
  • Translate strategy into clear priorities, roadmaps, and measurable objectives
  • Track execution against strategic goals and ensure follow-through on key
    initiatives
  • Identify and resolve cross-stream dependencies and trade-offs

 

2. Business Performance & Financial Management

  • Support ownership of the BU P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and
    performance tracking
  • Partner with Finance to ensure robust financial planning and visibility across all
    streams
  • Monitor revenue, cost, and investment allocation; highlight risks and
    opportunities
  • Support business cases and investment decisions across product lines

 

3. Product Operations & Delivery Enablement

  • Drive consistency in product operating models, governance, and delivery
    practices
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to improve planning, prioritization,
    and execution
  • Ensure alignment between product roadmaps, commercial priorities, and
    resource allocation
  • Help embed best practices across the product lifecycle management

 

4. Governance & Operating Rhythm

  • Prepare executive-level materials for QBRs and leadership meetings
  • Drive accountability through clear tracking of actions, decisions, and outcomes

 

5. BU Leadership enablement

  • Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the BU Leadership
  • Provide structured thinking, challenge, and insight on key topics
  • Support preparation for executive and board-level discussion
  • Lead or support high-priority, ad hoc strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • Recently completed an MBA from a top-tier institution
  • 2–5 years of prior experience in consulting, strategy, product, or operations in a
    high-performance environment
  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, digital platforms, AI, or technology environments is
    highly desirable

  • Excellent strategic thinking and structured problem-solving
  • Strong business acumen, including financial literacy (budgeting, forecasting, P&L
    understanding)
  • Strong operational mindset with attention to execution and detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clarity
  • High level of analytical capability (financial, strategic, and data-driven thinking)
  • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, particularly around AI and emerging technologies
